Job Summary

Reliant Pro Staffing LLC is seeking dedicated and empathetic Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for immediate contract positions in Philadelphia, PA. As a DSP, you will play a crucial role in empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling, independent, and integrated lives within their communities. Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct, person-centered support with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, dressing, and mobility.
• Assist individuals in developing and maintaining life skills, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
• Facilitate community integration through participation in social, recreational, and educational activities.
• Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) with fidelity and compassion.
• Administer medication safely and accurately, adhering to prescribed protocols and documentation requirements (if certified).
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment.
• Document daily activities, progress, incidents, and observations clearly and accurately.
• Act as an advocate for the individuals you support, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.
• Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, guardians, team members, and supervisors.
• Transport individuals to appointments, community outings, and other activities as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention as necessary.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience supporting individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities or a related field; however, passionate entry-level candidates with relevant experience (e.g., caregiving, CNA) will be considered.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record, along with reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass comprehensive background checks (including criminal, child abuse, and FBI clearances).
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commitment to person-centered care, empathy, patience, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to lift, transfer, and assist individuals with mobility as needed (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs).
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and communication.

Preferred:

• Medication Administration certification.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Human Services).
• Experience with specific therapeutic techniques or behavioral interventions.
